New Format for Team Galaxies! Soon to Open in a Galaxy Near You!Posted on 22.07.2010

The players of CS have taken it upon themselves to arrange a new form of team galaxy, aiming to have even longer and more exiting Team Galaxies than before. The 'Multy Team' galaxy is a highly corroborative effort among the most dedicated and experienced players of CS, using the forum to agree on additional rules and conditions.

These new rules will not be supported by the game itself, and as such it is important that the galaxy have mature and dedicated players, who understand and follow these rules. Most notable among the new rules, are the distribution of the 16 players of the galaxy into 4 teams. The theory is that four small teams of dedicated players will present new and unique challenges both in terms of strategy and diplomacy.

If you think you can handle the responsibility as a member of a small team, and judge yourself willful enough not to break our gentleman's agreements, then you're the kind of guy we wanna play with. Please visit the thread on the forum, where you'll find a sign-up list as well: Multiple Teams TG

Remember, the galaxy will start with just 16 players and half the seats are already taken!

"Free Research Galaxy" about to launchPosted on 12.07.2010

The principle of Everlasting Advancement had been born in a single moment of supreme clarity. One instant there had been silence in the dark, the next: a huge blast of information, on every frequency and on every channel... A data rush that spanned the very galaxy itself! "Follow me towards everlasting progress it said... Follow me towards a future that shall be shared by all the worlds in the sky!"

'They' also heard it: That is, our enemies and our allies - everyone in this galaxy of 'Free Research' did... And like us, they applied the principle...

Fleets were born instantaneously! Each day the principle would spin out more and more ships, each larger, faster and deadlier than the last! Massive superstructures were built overnight; all the worlds in the sky were lit up with the spark of civilization in a mere blink of the galaxy's eye.

It had all been so fast... We had all gone too far and too quickly.

So the 'PAUSE' was perhaps inevitable. The 'pause' was followed by the 'Questioning'.... Who would pilot these new gate ships? Who would work in the auto factories of our distant colonies? Who would man our fleets? But most importantly of all -- Who would lead us and our allies to victory in the struggle for Cosmic Supremacy

Free Research Galaxy will start on Friday July 16th at 19:00 CET. Enter now - if you dare! Read more...

Sensation: Unknown Galaxy discovered by ScientistsPosted on 31.05.2010

Deep-scans reveal the existence of a yet 'Unknown Galaxy', as the monthly science report published today shows. The results of a deep-scan of a less populated corner of the universe have shown that this galaxy consists of approximately 50 solar systems, containing from 4 to 6 planets each. Most systems appear to have planet sizes ranging from 150 to 290 units each. A solar system with at least 3 planets with 300 space or more has been chosen for initial colonization.

Intelligence has also confirmed that a number of other Imperial Leaders appear to have made the same discovery, and are preparing a colonization mission to that same destination. Transports are scheduled to launch on Friday, June 4th at 1:00 CET, so sign up now and prepare for a tough battle in yet another quest for Cosmic Supremacy.

Galaxy features include: 2-hour tick times, 5 x 2 x 5 player space, and an average of 2.5 systems per player.
