The galaxy will start with everyone having 50 Colony ship and the Colony Multiplier set to 5000. This will make the 51st colony ship cost around 240,000 credits or 120,000 credits with the doc colonization.
Between turns 100-105 the colony multiplier will be set to 10. This will drop the price of a colony ship to around 1300 credits.
I Thought about this for a little bit and have decided to change the number of colony ships to 30. Erwin will need to do a reshuffle for the change to take place for the players who have already joined. So don't set any orders yet.

Due to uncertainty of Erwin logging in to reshuffle the Galaxy. I have recreated the galaxy with the correct settings. Everyone who was in the galaxy needs to join again.

Sygor, I signed up for BOB's R, this morning and though everything was working fine. Went in now 5:38 to work on my goverons and it went to the page, but t says the Server is not on line.

Yeah I've invited 1, he joined. We're big fans of the game too, but it's not the type of game everyone enjoys (unfortunately!)
Also, I had email notifications ON when someone PMs me, that why I saw your invitation!
Since it is OFF by default, and the emails land in the spam folder, I've found that messaging people has a poor success rate
About 24 hours before the start and it looks like we have 7 players with room for more.
To recap what will happen.
Everyone starts the game with 30 Colony ships. The Colony ship modifier is set to 5000, so the 31st will cost around 150,000 credits. or 75,000 with Doc Colonization.
On turn 100 a Planet Rush will start. The Colony ship modifier will drop to 10 (or the lowest it will go) for 5 turns. This will drop a shuttle base colony ship price down to around 1100 credits, or 900 credits with Doc Colonization.
On turn 105 the Colony Modifier will go back up to 5000.
I'm hoping everyone sees the possibilities when the Rush Starts.
I'm wondering what sort of strategy players come up with. I know I'm still not sure what I want to do! Guess I could look to the history books and see what they did in the Land Rush of 1889

Although none signal has been received from the new galaxy discovered some time ago, the first six colons per race will arrive in less of twelve years (ticks), and the firsts signals will start being transmited.
Will there more original races in that Galaxy keeping silence?
What will be the speed for expanding each race?
Will races be friendly or hostile?
Will this be decisive for their behavior?
But the most important question is: Where is Bob? Is he going to work again with industrial fryers? How many followers does he have? Does he knows who was the responsible for his misfortune?

I noticed that if I queue a colony ship, its cost is only 835 production right now (the base cost of the ship, as if it was my first). Is this just a glitch, or is there something not working?
No Glitch. Wait until the game starts and the 1st turn is processed.
To verify you can replay the 2MidRich Galaxy. On turn 0 a Colonyship cost 835. On turn 1 the cost went up to 3835...This is with the Colony module multiplier set to 200 and starting with 15 Colony ships.

This is going to be my second galaxy, I remember in my first one that I had to learn stuff on the fly (and I waskeeping touch with some veterans players who help me a lot). For instance I learnt ...
* Exist Hyper Transmisors and Hyper Receivers to increase planetary defenses.
* A planet with no planetary defenses only can be conquered using troops.
