My informers have just intercepted a conversation between Erwin, Dedzy and his Boss...
Dedzy: "Boss, you got Erwin on line 1"
Boss: "What do you mean? Surely you don't mean THE Erwin..."
Dedzy: "Oh yes, it is him alright, Erwin Kloibhofer in person!"
Boss: "Oh my! How does my tie look? Oh my! Hello?"
Erwin: "Hello. Are you aware that Dedzy is a Premium CS player?"
Boss: "Yes sir, we found out he is and..."
Erwin: "Is it true that you are keeping him out of the game?"
Boss: "Well, technically it's a strategic option in order to..."
Erwin: "Premium player...! Do I need to say more?"
Boss: "No sir, we have made a mistake and we will correct it immediately."
Erwin: "Also, he needs a promotion and a raise. We want him playing the game with a smile..."
Boss: "But sir, we are in no position to..."
Erwin: "It's either that or I will send raf7 to investigate your company for corruption. I hear it's at -12.37%, or something?"
Boss: "Oh no, not that, please!"

Boss: "So, those are Corvettes? What does that 19.1 means?"

I know I'm almost a stranger here now but not being able to play at work has stopped me from playing. If they ever put in the wireless internet...which has been mentioned...and I get my laptop fixed I will start playing again. I just can't do it from the hard-wired computers
. I check into the forums every now and then to see how everyone is doing and it's good to see the same people around and good to see involved newer people!

@Clint, I'm glad to see you're still around. If you live in the states maybe I can send you some of my older equipment to upgrade your home computer? I certainly wouldn't know if any of my parts would help but they may.
I didn't have the time for two galaxies, and signed up for non-premium one by mistake. So uh, anyone try to take my death trap of a system yet?
It's a real life test of my scripting abilities! I'm hoping by now the governors should have reached pd5, placed 3-4 of every defensive facility and stabilized the troop population at around 80 :-)

Raf7's 'Intercepted Conversation' made me laugh so hard that I feel compelled to leave some sort of response. The 19.1 speed Corvettes comment clinched it. You're the best Raf7!
Yes, it's true. I got fired from my job, I just celebrated my 20th year of service there in February. They are on the hunt for people to get rid of, and used my time online with this game as justification. It's cutback time; many others have been demoted, others transferred, and some were lucky enough to be offered early retirement packages. All my good performance reviews and continuing gains in quality control counted for exactly squat when they brought in a hatchetman from Philadelphia whose apparent job is to kick ass and elliminate jobs.
Anyway, I'm taking this as a lesson that I really need to get my act together and focus on getting a job. I am going to stay away from all manner of computer games, including this one, for the forseeable future. It's just too easy for me to use this as an escape from reality. So I burned all my spare CS points into building the "farewell" galaxy.

I'm very sorry to hear dedzy... but as you mentioned, they were just looking for ANY reason, and as you said, you were one of many. That is certainly one negative part of American corporate ethics...
But tell me, the name of the hatchet-man from Philadelphia, was his name Mr Smith? If yes, I can imagine how the conversation went...
