I've watched ~350 movies so far, wrote ~50 review's, but... in polisch, the mysterious leanguage of the east (we use it to summon dragons and succubi).
Would be very hard to pick a "nr. 1", so I'll provide a little list of what I like.
Commedy: Your Highness, Eurotrip
Black humor: Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Basterds
Fantasy: LotR trilogy
Sci-fi: new Star Trek, SW I-VI, Pocahontas in space aka. Avatar, Matrix
Horror(?): The Thing, Alien 1,2
Action- F&F movies, Kick-Ass, Resident Evil, AvP, Die Hard 4, Blade
Animation: Tangled, Ghost in the Shell
Other: X-Files movie 1, Gladiator, Kill Bill, Inception
New things:
Red Riding Hood- except for the pretty girl playing the hood, bad movie. No plot, monsters in my closet are more scary than the wolf etc.
Thor- final proof that the gods don't exist. If they did, they would kill the makers of this movie.
PotC 4- quite funny, but I liked the previous ones more. No sea fight, no Ambasador's Padme's double, no Legolas... 7/10, as a fan I'd give 8/10 though
X-Men First Class- awesome, some parts were average, but the amount of epicness in the others balanced everything. And Mystique's "cute teen" human form was just... there should be a law for girls to look like her, or someting XD

brazil (1985) is the best movie ive seen
close second is "12 monkeys" by the same director Terry Gilliam
basically anything that involves TG is excellent > monty python series and movies, "fear and loathing in las vegas" is fun to watch the first time, but dont recommend a second viewing.
recent favourites:
unthinkable (2010) low budget, but really thoughtprovoking
jacket
limitless
no strings attached - romantic comedy, but quite good surprisingly.
friends with benefits - same as no strings attached, different actors different banter.
mr nobody -just weird

the best thing about it was that one night a few days after i first saw it, i was looking out of the window at 3am and there was an owl sitting on a tree 4 meters from the window. his back was turned and as for dramatic effect he turned his head towards, me stared at me a few seconds and turned away again.
i close the window and proceed quietly to freak out.
then maybe a week or two later, same scenario, middle of the night i was looking out of the window again... yes i like looking out of the window and i like the night...sue me : )
anyways in complete silence an owl again...this time flying towards me and then he pulls up and flies over the house, and right after him a second owl does the exact same thing
this time i thought i was getting an anal probing for sure. much freakage : )
as an added benefit, i had never before in my life seen an owl in the wild like that from such close range.

Another fairly recent fav of mine is 'The Fourth Kind'. Scared the shit out of me (very nearly literally).
Added to "to do list", I've been looking for a good scary movie for a long time.

Suckerpunch. Weird but excellent.
How could I forget that D: This movie had almost everything: monsters, dragons, guns, robo-zombie-nazis, katanas, cute female warriors etc. It wasn't weird, I did not like the ending very much though (spoiler alert!), poor girl...

"The Ides of March", and no, that's not a typo (but I wouldn't hold it against you if you thought so). I guess it has to do with the political calendar in the US.
Not a clever or even pertinent title if you ask me.
Excellent movie. It's about politics, loyalty, choice and their consequences. Most of all, I think it's about a man losing his ideals.
He won't ever talk about it. I bet in 40 years he's a rich and powerful man, but I don't see any true happiness in his future.
i would really like to see a film about the degrading quality of consumer durables in the 21st century.
so theres this pot and a shoe, in a cupboard right...and their quality gradually declines over the years in stark juxtaposition with similar items from 100 years ago that suffer much smaller changes in quality with age than the contemporary items ( or are just stable in their lousy quality )
