I think it's ok to take screenshots, but not post them on a webpage (without artist permission). Here are 2 FAQ questions of particular interest...
How do I print or save a comic?
Because of the way Stripcreator works, you'll need to take a screen capture and print or save that. On Windows, load the comic you'd like to print up on the screen and press your Print Screen key. Then open a paint/image program such as Microsoft Paint (which comes with Windows) or Adobe Photoshop create a new image/project if necessary and hit Ctrl-V to paste the screenshot into the application. Then cut the comic strip out and print and/or save that.
Can I use my comics outside of Stripcreator?
The art in the categories threereasons, dexx, kaddar, kaddar2, props, forumusers, holiday and submitted are okay to use. The other categories were contributed by artists who only gave me permission to use the art on Stripcreator.com. You'll have to check with them if you want to use their art for other purposes.
Note: I'm pretty sure we didn't limit ourselves to just those categories.

I can already think up a few for myself, the days on the only planet I have remaining in Galaxy 10... (nice work quickstrike by the way on taking me out, except for the one planet... it has been like what 150 ticks... still waiting)
Galaxy 15 against one of Pratap's planets, ooh... admirals to attack multiple planets great! Oooh no, that planet is going to kill most of my fleet, better retreat. Next morning: WTF my entire fleet killed!!! :( damn forgot to disable my admiral...
Nice loophole Astax, and I only thought of the breeding one now, for some reason. I guess with school I haven't read about Admirals and Generals so I haven't been using them, playing old fasioned style. In computer science anyways, this is my life!
In other notes, starting to work for RIM next week, in the Graphics & Media dept. SpaceCiv + blackberry = cool...
Also I ended up making up a sweet fast dynamic data structure last week. I call it a TreeArray! Basically it is a tree of arrays. All the arrays are the same size(a base 2 size, like 256 is nice so you can use bitshifting for indexing). Easy to add more memory when it is needed, and keep everything easily indexed.
insertion ~ O(1) - 256^4 = 4 billion for O(4)... meh close enough
same for deletion, and getting object using indexes...
I dunno alernative to hash tables I guess, I guess only advantage is you don't have to do any guessing work for how big you need your hash table, in this case you can just keep adding more arrays as needed... meh stuff I come up with.
This week, implementing my own ray tracing acceleration technique, who knows, it may just make it real-time... then perhaps Erwin can use it to make SpaceCiv entirely ray traced... coolness!!! (Probably won't be real-time, meh to dream)

That stuff looks awesome! My history teacher just droned on and on and made us watch documentaries. But wait! Canadian history? Bleh, who cares...

Oh, and what exactly would Erwin Ray trace for? Isn't that for reflections and shading? But with only one source of constant light in eack system, the current method seems to be all that is needed. But I can understand how ray tracing can be exiting.
Yeah sorry about going off-topic, it started on topic, then I guess I just rambled on, trying to get all of it down.
True, raytracing would probably not improve the graphics much in this game, though other games it would make a big difference, I am just too exited at the moment. I'll find out how much of a speed up I do by the end of the week.
Still these comics are quite awsome though...

To anyone who hasn't seen them yet, I still find those strips hilarious (and you will find them more funny the better you know the game, and the closer you follow the happenings in the forums and on IRC)

I was just waiting for this to be stickied.
A call out to you newer folks: do you have an idea for a comic? PM one of us, or just make your own! Strip creator makes it very easy...
We had 5 of us fighting SL1m'as. Thinking we could own, so 2 of them decided to fight eachother while SL1m'as wiped the rest of us out right after me thinking I could take him on. lol
So a comic about our ships and how they fought would be quite amusing.
during the week I have 20 minutes, but on weekends I sure don't.
I work part time so I'm working weekends all the time (thursday - sunday) so on those days, I rarely get ANY time to myself, I get the odd minute or two while changing to update my account and thats about it. Its quite sad, but need to make money somehow.
