So right now I am in the mortal suns galaxy. While I initially complained about the corruption being high it is an interesting thing to deal with so I like that. I have one problem, its to peaceful. There are to many systems and not enough motivation to attack folks. I feel like I am in some sort of hippie galaxy. It makes me sad, its turn 220 and there is only one conflict to speak of. Well if anyone else feels the same as me I am rolling out a new galaxy.
Thats right kids, this galaxy will be crowded and everyone will be close together. No more safely taking the research path because avon may be calling by turn 50. Are you ever frustrated not being able to attack your neighbor because his score is low? Not here, rep modifier is 0. Thats right 0. There will be no rep penalty. By that same note there will be no declaring war just for the rep boost. Why? Because the rep modifier is 0. Thats right 0. The planets are rich, small, and numerous. That means they will fill up quick leaving more time for killing your neighbors. Speaking of your neighbors did I mention the rep modifier is 0? Because it is. [EDIT] I just realized that the galaxy size is set for 5x5x5. This is not correct, I want it to be 4x4x4 which will set the player count to 24 and the total cost to 58 credits. Unfortunately x/y settings have to be 5 or greater so I have to ask Erwin to do it. If he chooses not to accommodate my request I will shrink it down similarly. It just won't be a cube anymore. Also this post gives you an idea of what Claustrophobia 1 looked like.
[EDIT2] Erwin changed the code so its now 4x4x4. Thanks Erwin!! This galaxy is now easily the most awesome galaxy you could join/sponsor. So whats stopping you?

Made a slight modification to the galaxy. Disabled homeworld changes and made the homeworlds juicy by default. this is to prevent anyone from making their homeworld high pop which i think may throw off the balance of the galaxy. also took max planet size to 209 and made homeworld starting pop 20(to help a fast start). if any of the sponsors take issue with these changes let me know.

So how long of a sign-up period are we going to have? The galaxy is scheduled to start ticks in 2 weeks. I guess you normally open at the one week mark? Also, any chance of getting a news entry? It is quite a bit different than most of the galaxies that have been running so maybe worthy of note. Something like:
Claustrophobia - Intensity Cubed
2 hour ticks have never moved so quickly! This galaxy is designed as a pressure cooker. All the systems are crowded with very small, very rich planets. Then all the systems are crowded as close to each other as possible in a 4x4x4 cube. Then all the homeworlds start at maximum population. Then we removed reputation so you can attack anyone, anytime. The net result? Be ready to defend yourself, its eat or be eaten. For those of you who are frustrated with the peace-loving nature of most galaxies join and test yourself.

Just a thought, I remember we were moving towards doing little blurbs for all the galaxies opening. Its unfortunate that we moved away from that. An entry for each custom galaxy would probably be good for the site, the creators can be held responsible for coming up with it.

I probably shouldn't, since I'm still getting acclimated to CS in one of the generic galaxies, but this sounds awesome. Maybe I'll learn a thing or two from playing in the big leagues.

You can be come wealthy by only buying things that will pay for them selves, with the use of your talents.
