I'm having problems navigating the galaxy. At certain angles on certain planets and suns my camera is forced to zoom in. I tested with a few suns to see if it wasn't just my home system doing this, some of the sun just slightly forces my screen to zoom in, not really a problem there. The big problem is my homesystem, It forces my camera to zoom in all the way. This becomes a problem to just escape from the sun/planet I'm looking at. I have to change my angle to one which doesnt force the zoom, which is surprisingly difficult since my only reference is a gaint sun/planet in my face. In certain cases my client just up and disappears.
aw f*** the straw spaceships!
my armoured digital refrigerators will blot out the sun!...grundig armoured digital refrigerators...of death!
i mean who really, honestly wants to make a corvette? deep down inside we all want to make cruisers or battleships or worse. its in our nature. all the creative instincts we have are only a means to an end, which is to destroy other things.
"ah but what of art" i hear you say. art indeed. art is the realization that you are a failure in the destroying-things competition against your fellow man, the depression that follows, and the really wierd shit that some people start doing to ward off the depression and keep yourselves busy until the inevitable death caused by eating too much margerine.
"art" pff!
destruction is just creation backwards in time. and as far as physics is concerned all 4 forces work symmetrically backwards and forwards in time. there is no difference.

this forum message is a result of me watching a dylan moran dvd.
and again, environmentally conscious, no capital letters, no penguins harmed. etc. stay away from margerine!

Well, if it's not too much trouble, I'm OK with reducing the sector size. I'm also not really bothered by what I've heard so far, but I haven't had a chance to see it for myself.
If it's only one person with that severe problem, maybe he could re-sign and get pemission to sign up again. If it's some corner system it might help to get one in the center.
Edit; heh. Just went to have a look myself, and I think it's pretty cool how when you move around, new stars appear out of the emptyness of space. Seems very 'life-like'

Instead of decreasing the sector size, I tried to fix the issues that came as a side-effect of the huge galaxy size.
So the camera crashes/issues should be solved, and the far clipping plane has been increased, so that you can actually see the other side of the galaxy.
