Ship design list oddity
On the ship design list, the alphabetical sorting seems a bit off - "Colony Ship" comes AFTER "Colony Ship Mk2"! I always thought that if you tack something on the end of a string, it would sort after the original string - not to mention that if I later add "Colony Ship Mk3", the sort as it is will show Mk2, then Mk3, then the original!

Could it be that one of the other stats are different like the hit points being different?
If you click the hit points column and then the ship name column it will organize based on the names and then by hit points. I think this works up to three columns.
For instance, I can organize by system name and then by population count. If I click the system name column then the population count column it will list all planets by population count but then will group system names when the count is the same.
I think I've got that right. It works something like that anyways.
Edit: This may be a better explanation:" On a side note: you mentioned "secondary sorting". Well there is no automatic secondary sorting. Instead the user has full control over secondary sorting. All you need to do is first sort by one column, and then by another. The latter represents the primary sorting, the previous the secondary sorting."
If I remember correctly you can also click the column you want two times to clear all secondary sorting.
2nd Edit:

Did you actually try this or just presuming? It could also be the list is Z-A instead of A-Z?

Hmm, I wasn't aware that the list could sort by multiple criteria at once!

No I didn't actually try it, but I clicked the name column several times, since the first time it sorted Z-A; clicking it again made it A-Z, but the Mk2 showed up before the original colony ship!

O.. now we know what makes you click and make changes
Just kidding.. (really don't take it wrongly)
But I do wonder deep inside why a bug like this (and it is a bug) gets priority over some of the other suggestions though.. although I do understand the pleasure of doing what you want to do at your own pace.. after all you did create all of this, and I respect that you want to work on issues that you choose to work on.. just hoping that maybe one or two other tweaks could be done for the other suggestions... assuming there are some suggestions that can be easily implemented.. for the peace of mind of everyone? (but not at the expense of your peace of mind of course)

No drop down menus are functioning at the moment I think. I'm experiencing the same problem on Building Queues. I'm sure it will be fixed soon so there will be no need to worry
Easy fix for time being, use arrow keys to shift through the list.

I liked the peace of mind reason better :p
But I can see how one code tweak .. even 2 lines .. can create havoc with drop down menus and such.. so I guess that challenge got a bit harder.. 2 lines without affecting the rest of codes..
Or like what lion said.. if we can convince you that implementing a suggestion can help you further your commercial interests.. hmmm.. you sure your clients don't need some code that let's you have a next turn button or let galaxy creators set starting positions? Maybe you can erm.. sell the idea to the military.. yea.. simulation of future battles when we invent interstellar battleships in real life
