It is our third galaxy in the nuts series, featuring Batched Ticks, which are packed to run during a few minutes every day - 10/11 turns in 20 minutes. Players cannot log in while the batches are being processed, which means that activity is evened up and that you only need to log once per day to take care of your stuff.
Although you can still manage your Empire by hand, the good use of governors and admirals can make a significant difference here. By mastering them into performing automated actions, you will eventually be able to control most of what happens during the batches - or else go nuts while trying to do so!
The Pistachio features wide spaces between systems, good planets, high corruption (at 2.0), cheap colony ships (at 75), relatively high tech cost (at 1200), and a fixed duration of 500 turns. It is now open for sign up, set to start on the 24th of June.

The previous batched galaxies worked fine, and, as far as I can see, this one is well configured for that effect. So, it should be some minor thing on Erwin's side.
