Cosmic Supremacy: The Release CandidatePosted on 29.04.2009
Welcome to the new web-page of Cosmic Supremacy! The first thing you will notice is that we have changed the name of the game. This decision was taken after long discussions with my friends and supporters, and is a step that by no means was easy for me, but nevertheless necessary.
Other than that, have a look around on the new site, and most importantly, download the new client software, since the old version is no longer supported!
I hope you like what you see. There are lots of new features, that I will explain a little later...
Welcome to Cosmic Supremacy
Server Move on Wednesday March 4thPosted on 02.03.2009
We are once again migrating to a brand new server (seems like yesterday when we last did that...). I figure this is the best moment to do that, with the Release only being weeks away.
So, expect the site to go down on Wednesday at around 10:00 CET in the morning (that's 4 AM ET). Of course the galaxy ticks will be halted also at that time. It will take a couple of hours to move things over, and for the DNS's around the world to update to the new IP. Expect the ticks to commence at 16:00 CET (10 AM ET), although the site should be online and reachable at the new IP some time before that.
So I guess I see you on the other side
Sandbox galaxies availablePosted on 07.01.2009
For a few weeks now we offer so called Sandbox Galaxies, which a player can join (and retire from) at any given time. They provide relatively fast tick times between 15 to 20 minutes, and are persistent - so they never end. Their main purpose is to offer a playground for new players who are eager to play the game right away, without having to wait for the start of a regular galaxy (which is still a relatively rare event during this beta phase).
In addition we also offer a XP Sandbox Galaxy, which can only be joined by ranked players. Its purpose is to give previous beta testers a chance to get a glimpse of the new features that have been added to SpaceCiv over the last couple of months. So have a look, it's really quite painless since you can hop in and out of the Sandbox to your liking!
"Experimental Galaxy 1" is onlinePosted on 15.09.2008
With "Experimental Galaxy 1" we are entering a new phase of Space Civilizations: over the course of the next weeks and months there will be lots of changes in the game mechanics, with the goal to add more depth and variety to play the game, without making it (seemingly) more complex. That's not exactly going to be an easy task, and needs your help and your patience.
More details and a complete list of new features can be found here.
Team Galaxy Beta 100 on July 11thPosted on 01.07.2008
Space Civilizations is celebrating it's 100th Beta Galaxy, and we do it in style! Galaxy Beta 100 will be the first ever Team Galaxy! 2 teams battle it out until one is dominating the entire galaxy. This is an entirely new format that has not been tried before (at least not in the SpaceCiv world), so this should turn out to be great fun! More details can be found here.

SpaceCiv manual now a 100% wiki basedPosted on 17.09.2007
The Space Civilizations manual is now entirely moved over to Wiki, and the old manual has been removed. I spent quite some time the last days to unify the layout, and make it easier to navigate. I updated and added bits of information here and there, and would call the manual now 80% complete.
I want to thank the people that helped me doing this, and hope and wish for their continued support finishing and keeping the manual up to date. Thanks again guys
