Cosmic Supremacy is first and foremost a FREE game so we've come up with a model that keeps everyone on a level playing field. Premium Players NEVER GAIN ANY IN-GAME ADVANTAGES over Non-Premium Players. There are NO UNFAIR ADVANTAGES! We offer two types of Galaxies: 'Free-For-All Galaxies' that represent the basic version of the game. These have Premium Gameplay Features disabled (even for Premium Members). 'Premium Galaxies' offer even more features and deeper gameplay. The Premium Gameplay Features in these galaxies are activated for everyone in the galaxy, including Free Members that manage to get a Free Non-Premium Seat. Premium Galaxies usually come with Free Non-Premium Seats - your chance to test-drive Premium Gameplay features for FREE! See below for a list of Premium Galaxy Features, that are ONLY available in Premium Galaxies:

Customize your Civilization One of the most compelling premium only feature are Civilization Traits. Not only can you chose the traits of your Civilization at the beginning of each Galaxy, but the games' technology tree is extended by 20+ more technologies (so-called doctrines) that allow you to influence the traits of your Civilization even further. Among them are Civilization Traits that increase the productivity of your citizens in a certain area, traits that improve your stealth ability, increase your planetary space, increase the strength of your ships, or even trigger a Golden Age era for your entire Civilization. Customize your Home-World This feature allows you to change the properties of your home-world according to your needs and playing style.

Empire-Wide Planetary Defense System This feature allows you to create a energy grid throughout your empire, where Hyperspace Energy is created on one (or more) planets, and transferred to another. The Energy is then used to boost that planet's existing Planetary Defense System. So, by diverting energy from one part of your empire to another, you can help defend those planets that have hostile fleets heading towards them. In addition there is a technology branch that defines the level of the Hyperspace-Energy produced. The further you research that technology, the more energy is produced by your existing 'Hyperspace Transmitters'. Command Center Facility This facility, when built on your planets, will increase the strength of your ships (and that of your allies) in orbit and within its area of influence around the planet. The Command Center improves the coordination among the ships, and by that improves their effectiveness during combat.

Wormholes Create your own network of Wormholes and connect distant parts of your empire with that of your core systems. Wormholes allow you to bridge any distance within a single turn. You can even sign a treaty and create a wormhole between your empire and that of your ally. But not only that, your ships can travel through any wormhole of your allies just as if it was yours!

As a Premium Player, not only you do gain access to Premium Galaxies, but you also get to enjoy extra features that are not directly related to gameplay. The following is a list of Premium Membership features that are always available in ALL types of galaxy, but do not give you any in-game advantages:

Name Your Civilization and pick your Empire's Coat-of-Arms You can choose to hide your Player Name and instead pick a custom name for your Empire, to conceal your true identity. You can do so in every single galaxy you play, and pick a new Civilization Name every single time - if you wish to do so. The only way to reveal the true identity of a player is to research a new type of scan: the 'Leader-Name Scan'. Use it on those empires that you desperately want to know who's the real leader behind it. You can also pick your own Coat-Of-Arms, that is prominently displayed right next to each planet you own. Let your enemies know who they are dealing with, by presenting your own individual emblem, and build up a brand name with it!

Saving and Loading of Governors Probably your most precious asset that you want to take with you from one Galaxy to the next one are your Governor scripts. And that's exactly what this feature allows you to do: save as many governor scripts as you like and load them in any other Galaxy that you play.

The Test-Bed Galaxy This is essentially a single player version of the game that sports a 'Next Turn' button as well as the ability to load and save the game at any time. So no more waiting for the turn to end, instead you can go with your own pace. This galaxy allows you to test and fine hone your starting strategies, as well as your governors. This is your own private galaxy, that no other players have access to.

Custom Galaxies As a Premium Player you are able to create your own Custom Galaxies with your own custom settings and properties. A Custom Galaxy is hosted on the game servers, and maintained and supported by the game admins, just like every regular Galaxy. The extra cost and time it takes to host these galaxies need to be covered by the creator and sponsors of the galaxy. But don't worry, that does not mean you need to pay any money on top of your Premium Membership, but instead every time you sign-up or extend your Premium Membership you obtain free CS-Credits with it. CS-Credits are the currency with which to gain access to even more features, for instance Custom Galaxies are paid with CS-Credits. So what if a Custom Galaxy costs 50 CS-Credits, but you have got only 20 CS-Credits available? There are two available options: 1) Extend your Premium Membership and with that obtain more CS-Credits. 2) Ask other Premium Players to help sponsor the Galaxy. It is very likely that someone creates a Galaxy and sets it up, but only covers a fraction of the cost. In that case other Premium Players pitch in and help cover the cost of this Custom Galaxy. They are listed as official Sponsors of the galaxy for everyone to see! That means Custom Galaxies can be created by individual players, or by a group of players that probably negotiate its settings among them. Check out the user-interface to set up a Custom Galaxy.

Galaxy Replays Yet another feature that requires you to spend CS-Credits are Galaxy Replays. This feature allows you to replay any finished Galaxy from the first turn to the last. You can not only analyze your own moves but also that of any other player! You can switch off fog-of-war and see the locations of all other players from turn 1, and watch how their empires grow. And if that was not enough, you can switch to any player that you like and have a peek at their planet and ship orders, and by that gain a better understanding of their strategy. Of course it is also possible to enter any galaxy that you played, and save the Governors that you used in that Galaxy and reuse them in another. Replay any Galaxy by visiting the Galaxy History page and click the 'Replay' link.

As a Premium Player you gain access to the features listed and described above. But most importantly, you are supporting the game with your Premium Membership!

It took 5 years and more than 7000 hours to develop the game this far. Now that the game has officially reached 'Version One' and offers lots of features to cater different play-styles and has become really stable and enjoyable, it is time to not only reach out to a larger player base, but also ask for a little in return. So if you like and enjoy playing the game, and you see its potential and would like to see it grow even further in the future, then consider upgrading to Premium Membership!
