Volume I: The Basics

Part III: My Governors

Newly Acquired

Well, I went ahead and took my own advice. In the Somewhere galaxy, I’ve used a governor especially for recently acquired planets. You’ll note that there’s almost no difference between this governor and Shipper, only the ‘Run Build Shipper’ rule has been removed. I also use this governor for newly conquered planets, which probably isn’t the best solution.

Though there’s precious little difference between this and the Shipper governor (which I previously used as a default governor), the sole fact that the new planet now has a dedicated (most importantly uniquely named), governor assigned is a great help. I highly recommend that you assign governors to newly acquired planets that are designed spefifically for these circumstance.

The Rules

  • Run Governor Fundamentals
  • Run Governor Build Base
  • Run Governor Build Loyalty
  • If number of Citizens is equal to 100% of Population Limit
    • Set Recruitment Rate to 100%
    • If number of Stationed Military is lower than 8
      • Stop processing rules
    • If currently no production
      • Stop processing rules
    • Convert all Citizens to Workers
    • Make sure enough Farmers are assigned to sustain its planets population
    • Stop processing rules
  • If number of Citizens is lower than 100% of Population Limit
    • If number of Citizens is lower than 5
      • Stop processing rules
