Manual Rules

When contributing to the manual please consider the following rules and tips:

• Instead of creating very long Wiki pages that extend over several pages, rather split up the page and add a new Manual Index. Bad Example: The Main Page
• Use uppercase spelling for proper nouns/names like “the Ships Screen”, or “the Admiral or Governor”
• Use uppercase spelling inside of headlines, eg “Assigning Ship Crew”
• Try to explain the feature in simple plain English, keep it “serious, dry and professional”
• Don’t add your own opinion, that’s what Player Guides are for
• Use bold text to emphasize something. Use it in such a way so that the reader can grasp the information of the sentence by pretty much only reading the bold words. Like: Use the right mouse button to bring up the context menu of any space object (ships, planets or suns).
• Use bullet-point lists (like this one) when ever it makes sense, since they are easier to grasp than a long paragraph of text
• Do not use color tags in manual.
