Planetary Facilities

When building on a planet’s surface, each succeeding structure will cost more than the previous, as determined by this formula:

Build-Cost = (4 + (3 + Already-Existing-Facility-Count) * Already-Existing-Facility-Count) * Facility-Base-Production-Cost / 4

Example:
Facility-Base-Production-Cost: 500
Already-Existing-Facility-Count: 5
Build-Cost = 5500

There are exceptions to this rule, since a few facilites can only be built once per-planet (like Shipyards or Hyperspace Receivers).

Firepower/Shielding is determined by technology level, as listed under Planetary Defense.

Military Academy 34 9000 28Stationed Military can be trained up to Rank 6. Decreases the time it takes to gain a rank by another -50%. Only one per planet is required.
Central Defense Agency 26 6000 30Allows scans to be built on this planet. Only one is required per planet.
Propaganda Office 9 1200 12Increases the loyalty of 10 citizens by +10%
Bunker 5 700 10Offers protection for 4 Stationed Military, and increases their defense strength by +100%. Also provides extra protection during bombing raids.
Planetary Fortress 8 1200 15Offers protection for 8 Stationed Military, and increases their defense strength by +200%. Also provides extra protection during bombing raids.
Hyperspace Transmitter 9 2500 20Generates 2000 TW of Hyperspace-Energy and transmits it to Hyperspace Receivers on distant planets. Hyperspace Transmitters progressively get more expensive the more are built empire-wide.
Hyperspace Receiver 16 8000 50Receives Hyperspace-Energy from Hyperspace Transmitters on distant planets, and uses that energy to boost the planetary-defense strength on this planet. Requires just one per planet
Command Center 10 1500 13Coordinate friendly ships in orbit of your planet with a Command Center, increasing the ships’ effectiveness when defending the planet. All your ships in orbit (plus those of your allies) will receive a +30% firepower bonus during battle.
