Human, a member of a species of bipedal primates in the family Hominidae. When compared to other animals and primates, humans have a highly developed brain, capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection and problem solving. This mental capability, combined with an erect body carriage that frees the forelimbs (arms) for manipulating objects, has allowed humans to make far greater use of tools than any other species on Terra.

Like most higher primates, humans are social by nature. Humans are particularly adept at utilizing systems of communication—primarily spoken, gestural, and written language—for self-expression, the exchange of ideas, and organization. Humans create complex social structures composed of many cooperating and competing groups, from families to nations. Social interactions between humans have established an extremely wide variety of traditions, rituals, ethics, values, social norms, and laws, which together form the basis of human society. Humans are distinctive as a species on the Earth by having a perception of beauty and aesthetics at least to a point which results in a material culture. This, when combined with the desire for self-expression and a proportionally large brain-size, has led to innovations such as art, written language, music and science.

Humans seek to understand and influence the environment around them by trying to explain and manipulate natural phenomena through philosophy, art, science, mythology, and religion. This natural curiosity has led to the development of advanced tools and skills. Although humans are not the only species to use tools, they are unique in building fires, cooking their food, and clothing themselves; as well as using other advanced technologies. Humans pass down their skills and knowledge to the next generations and so are regarded as dependent upon culture.

Political system: Political, economical and military alliance between planets who are governed by individual planetary leaders and who in return answer to the High Council in Terra Prime. Current High Counselor is revered Uriel Septim of Terra Prime.

History: After the great cataclysm and the fall of the Imperium of Man, mankind was splintered around the galaxy without the ability to travel FTL and no way to contact each other. Without the support of the Core World, and the high-tech materials that they provided, the colonies of different nations were unable to maintain the technologies they were so heavily dependent on and plummeted to anarchy and disarray.

Trough countless of generations people of Betelgeuse Prime started to gain back on all that was lost earlier. Trough scavenge of old monuments and city ruins we were able to somewhat start the industrial age and re-building our civilization. This is the beginning of our history and also marks the year 0 After Awakening(A.W.)

First there were no unified government to rule the people of Betelgeuse Prime, but only different petty nations and clans that fought over for the scarce technologies left behind by the early settlers. This age is know as the Age of Reckoning in our history books. It wasn’t a time of reason or enlightenment; When you give a gun to a leader of a skaren herd, he doesn’t know what it is, but he surely figures out how to use it. Lots of humans died in the struggle to gain more and more of the technologies left behind.

Then in the year 38 AW one of the prominent factions in the northern hemisphere of our planet, then known as Fennia Mordo, send a bold expedition to the frozen north pole of Betelgeuse Prime. The expedition was led by a veteran of many wars, General Iperius Septim. The mission was to go as near the north pole as they could to reach the last patches of unexplored land on our planet. The contact to the expedition was lost after one week of traveling and the High Command of Fennia Mordo thought them to be gone.

Then after a month of silence and memorials there was a cryptic transmission in the radio wave frequency reaching the northern-most listening post of Fennia Mordo. The message only said “zzhz...f th- ..olony of Betelgeuse...FT-...ailed...Tachyon transm..zzggz...failed—dying...please senzzd evacua-zzggzfleet. Confirm if z..-eceived...WHERE AR–OU?!!..zg” After that it was silent for a while and then continued more clearly “This is governor..zgz..Tiberius Keitel...from the colony of...” until it died out completely. This transmission corresponded to none know identification codes and the High Command was confused what it could mean. The transmission was triangulated to be coming out from near the north pole and the only answer was it had something to do with the lost expedition.

A second expedition was decided to be sent to find out what happened to the first expedition and more importantly what was the source of the transmission. They were only starting to pack their equipment when a second transmission was received by the same listening post; this time more clearly. “This is General Iperius Septim of the North Pole Expedition.” At this point the soldiers in the listening post contacted the High Command and streamed the message to them in real time. “...We have reached the north pole as commanded and found an abandoned military base of unknown origins. We were able to restart its reactor about an hour ago and we are currently hacking into the computing terminals to find out more. Iperius out.” This was high-priority news for the High Command and the Research Academicus promptly informed them that the source of the first transmission was the same as from where General Iperius was transmitting. In no time they made the conclusion that the restarting of the base reactors had somehow awakened an automated transmission system. The second expedition was send to the base location to help Iperius Septim to search everything he could from the NP-1 as it is known today.

After extensive research it was found out that the base was some kind of last resort asylum for the ruling entities of the legendary early settlers. There wasn’t much that we know about them before that. Only stories and legends we had left were told by people trough the generations and found from other scavenged ruins. From the computing terminals we found out that they had been a part of some galaxy wide imperium of man which had been both technologically and politically superior to anything we had known before. Also we found out that the terminals were there to safeguard the technological advances of their imperium. From the information we gained we were able to speed up our advancement greatly and take a leading position in Betelgeuse Prime.

In couple of years Fennia Mordo was able to submit all the other rivaling factions and take control of planet. This new age of enlightenment started about 42 AW and the High Council of Betelgeuse Prime was established to rule over the new Fennia Vici. Technological advances weren’t the only thing we found out from NP-1. There were also lost of text about a group of mythical planets known only as the Core Worlds. According to the text they were a natural heaven for humans to live in, where nature was combined with technology, to make living wonderful for all people. During his expedition Iperius Septim was greatly affected by the stories about the Holy Worlds, as they are known today, and he started a campaign to assemble enough resources and devotees to start a new expedition to find these mythical worlds. In 44 AW Iperius Septim was elected as the High Councilor of Fennia Vici and accordingly he renamed our home world after the mythical home planet of the imperium of man as Terra Prime. After that year the position of the High Counselor has been interlinked with the family line of the Septims for their pursue of someday finding the long lost home of Man.

Today the people from Terra Prime have migrated to different worlds governed by a unified planetary institution known as the Terran Federation. The Ultimate goal of TF is to seek out new life and new civilizations and boldly go where no Terran man has gone before. In pursue to some day hopefully fulfill the goal set by the late revered Iperius Septim. “We will meet in the stars...”
